Is it permissible for a Muslim to ask Allah for a worldly matter while committing sins and major transgressions, despite intending to repent and fearing that his repentance might be for the sake of this worldly purpose?

He who disobeys Allah and commits grave sins must hasten to repent and beware of procrastination, lest death overtakes him and the door of repentance closes, making him among the losers, as Allah Almighty says: (And repentance is not for those who [continue to] do evil deeds until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "Indeed, I have repented now," nor for those who die while they are disbelievers. For those We have prepared a painful punishment). And Allah extends His Hand by night and by day to accept the servant's repentance, and He rejoices in it. The fear that repentance is for worldly gain is a satanic whisper, and one must sincerely repent to Allah, hoping for His pardon and forgiveness. Then the servant may ask his Lord whatever he wishes of the good of this world and the Hereafter. Nevertheless, it is not forbidden for the servant to continue asking his Lord, even if he is disobedient, for Allah may grant him his request. However, this behavior is not befitting for a believer who loves Allah, for sins can be a reason for deprivation and for prayers not being answered, as stated in the hadith about the man who extends his hands to the sky, "O Lord, O Lord," while his food, drink, and clothing are unlawful – how can he be answered?
