Why might God give to those who do not need, while the bounty does not reach those in need?

Allah commanded the guarding of the tongue, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against the harvests of the tongues, and reminded that a word can plunge its utterer into Hell. Among the common proverbs is the saying: "He gives earrings to one who has no ear." This saying is an objection to Allah Almighty's actions, decrees, knowledge, wisdom, and justice, and it contains ill-thought of Him Almighty. Allah grants blessings to whom He wills for a reason, and withholds them for a reason, and every matter is in His hand. There is no preventer of what He gives, and no giver of what He prevents, and no one has the right to object to His decree and wisdom. For good may lie in depriving a servant of things and humbling him, and evil may lie in his obtaining them. For Allah Almighty has made some people a trial for others. A servant must think well of Allah Almighty, repent to Him for ill-thought, and know that all good is from Allah's grace.
