What is the ruling on elaborating in supplication (Du'a)? Is requesting the most precise details, apart from what is mentioned in supplications, considered an transgression? Is it permissible for the supplicant to ask Allah to transform his supplication into good, even if it is evil, while still granting it to him in this world and the Hereafter?

The aforementioned supplication is not considered an transgression in supplication. However, it is more fitting for a Muslim to supplicate to Allah with comprehensive supplications that encompass the good of this world and the Hereafter, because the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, preferred comprehensive supplications. Examples of comprehensive supplications include: "Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter and protect us from the punishment of the Fire." This encompasses all good in this world and the Hereafter. It is permissible to ask Allah to make what He has decreed good for you, but if you do not know the outcome of the supplication, it is more appropriate to qualify your request by conditioning it on Allah's knowledge of what is best in it.
