The Ahadith indicate that Jesus, peace be upon him, is alive and has not died, and remains in heaven until he descends to Earth at the end of time. The death mentioned in [] Aal-Imran and [Surah] Al-Ma'idah is a death of sleep, as Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi stated. Thus, there is no contradiction between it and other verses that affirm his ascension with both spirit and body.
