How do we reconcile the Quranic verses that speak of the raising of Jesus, peace be upon him, some of which indicate the raising of the spirit, and others of which indicate the raising of the body?

The Ahadith indicate that Jesus, peace be upon him, is alive and has not died, and remains in heaven until he descends to Earth at the end of time. The death mentioned in [Surah] Aal-Imran and [Surah] Al-Ma'idah is a death of sleep, as Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi stated. Thus, there is no contradiction between it and other verses that affirm his ascension with both spirit and body.
