What is the ruling on receiving a salary from the Saudi American Bank, even though the current account is the only transaction with the bank?

It is not permissible to open an account in an interest-based bank except in cases of extreme necessity. In such a case, it is permissible to take the interest granted by the bank to the depositor, rather than leaving it for them to use in their falsehood. This is provided that one disposes of it by giving it to those in need or by spending it on general charitable projects.
