Does the supplication of the Messenger for the people of Al-Baqi' include only those buried in Al-Baqi', or does it include those who died in Al-Madinah and were buried there?

Praying for the people of Baqi' al-Gharqad has been mentioned in authentic hadiths, and it has been reported that Gabriel commanded the Prophet to seek forgiveness for them. It is probable that the prayer includes those buried in Baqi' only during the time of the Messenger, or it includes them and those buried after them until the Day of Judgment. So, whoever is among the people of mercy will attain it, whether this prayer includes them or not, and whoever is among the people of misery, this prayer will not benefit them. Reports have been narrated concerning the virtue of being buried in Medina, among them a prophetic hadith: "There is no spot on earth more beloved to me for my grave to be in than it," and Umar's supplication: "O Allah, grant me martyrdom in Your cause, and make my death in the city of Your Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him."
