What is the definition of Al-Baqi' and the martyrs of Al-Baqi', and the place and figures buried within it?

Al-Baqi' is a graveyard in Medina, near the Prophet's Mosque (peace and blessings be upon him). A large number of Companions were buried there. The first of the Muhajirun (Emigrants) to be buried there was 'Uthman ibn Maz'un (may Allah be pleased with him). Among the most prominent figures buried there are 'Uthman ibn 'Affan, Ibrahim (the son of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him), 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, Al-Hasan ibn 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf, and many others.
