Is it obligatory for a mother to fast for two months after her child dies due to suffocation?

The ruling on this matter depends on knowing the surrounding causes and circumstances: If it is highly probable that the mother slept on her child or caused her child's suffocation, even if by negligence, then she is liable for the expiation of killing, which is the freeing of a slave. If she is unable to do so, then it is fasting for two consecutive months. But if it is highly probable that she neither directly caused it nor was the cause, then there is nothing upon her.
