The answer

The strongest bond among believers is the bond of creed (aqidah), which surpasses the bonds of race, lineage, and homeland. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, raised his companions on this principle, resulting in a great brotherhood between the Muhajirun (Emigrants) and the Ansar (Helpers), where the Ansar prioritized the Muhajirun over themselves, as stated in the Almighty’s saying: "And they give [the immigrants] preference over themselves, even though they are in dire need." This brotherhood was manifested on the Day of Badr, where the Companions prioritized their allegiance to the creed over blood ties, as the Holy Quran indicated in the Almighty’s saying: "You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred."
