What is the ruling on a husband giving his wife the choice between divorce or anal sex, and what if he retracts the divorce after she chooses it?

It is not permissible for a husband to give his wife the choice between divorce or unlawful anal intercourse, as the latter is forbidden by Sharia and is, in fact, a major sin. However, if what is meant is intercourse from behind in the area of cultivation (the vagina), then it is permissible. Nonetheless, a husband should not introduce divorce as a means of resolving disputes. A wife is obligated to obey her husband regarding intercourse in the permissible place. As for the husband retracting his offer of choice after the wife has chosen divorce, it is not considered, nor does it invalidate her choice.
