What is the ruling on reading horoscopes that describe a person's personality, behavior, and inclinations without foretelling the unseen, and is it considered astrology?

Reading horoscopes, coffee cup, and palm is forbidden and is one of the greatest abominations, as it is based on illusion and charlatanism. Scriptural texts have warned against it, including: "Whoever acquires a branch of astrology has acquired a branch of magic; the more he acquires, the more he increases," and "Whoever relies on something will be entrusted to it," and "Whoever goes to a fortune-teller and asks him about something, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days," and "Whoever goes to a soothsayer and believes what he says has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad." This is because Allah has exclusively reserved knowledge of the unseen for Himself. A Muslim must distance himself from these pre-Islamic matters and beware of asking their practitioners or believing them.
