What is the ruling on believing in horoscopes, and is it permissible to adopt the characteristics of horoscopes only without predicting the future?

The belief in the influence of zodiac signs and their connection to future events is a corrupt belief and an act of polytheism (shirk) with Allah Almighty. Everything related to astrology is forbidden, including claiming to know a person's characteristics or analyzing their personality through zodiac signs.
