Is it correct to describe the Lord, glory be to Him, as having helpers?

Allah the Almighty is self-sufficient, needing nothing from His creation, and everything is poor and dependent upon Him. Whoever claims that He is dependent on a creature is a disbeliever. Regarding Allah's saying: (And We are nearer to him than you), Ibn Taymiyyah explained that the pronoun "We" is used for the Glorious One who has soldiers and helpers who obey Him. Thus, the angels are Allah's helpers in the sense that they are obedient to His command; they act by His will and His planning. Allah is their Creator and the Creator of their actions, and He is self-sufficient, needing nothing from them. This expression has also been mentioned in some narrations, such as the saying of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, "Indeed, you are Allah's helpers," meaning His soldiers who fight in His cause and support His religion.
