How do I begin my marital life in a way that pleases Allah and ensures this union is blessed?

A word of advice to the wife: fear Allah, and seek your husband's pleasure in matters that do not involve disobedience to Allah. Obey him and help him in his obedience to Allah.

Also, take care of your appearance, cleanliness, and tidiness. Welcome your husband well, pay attention to the food he likes, and appease him when he is angry. Avoid excessive argumentation, and denounce evil with kindness. Be patient with any harm he may cause and refrain from complaining. And pay attention to his parents and sisters.

Recall the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "If a woman prays her five (daily prayers), fasts her month (Ramadan), guards her chastity, and obeys her husband, it will be said to her: 'Enter Paradise through whichever of its gates you wish.'"
