What is the ruling on a new building, separate from the mosque, designated for teaching the Quran to women (which they enter while menstruating), and which transmits the Imam's voice via loudspeaker? Is it considered a mosque where congregational prayer behind the Imam is valid, or is it a private area where prayer is not valid? And is it permissible for menstruating women to stay in it?

If the courtyard is part of the mosque, then women may pray in it behind the Imam, and menstruating women are prohibited from entering it. However, if it is outside the mosque, then a menstruating woman is permitted to enter it. According to the Maliki school, it is valid to follow the Imam in prayer there if his movements can be known by sight or sound. Nevertheless, it is more cautious not to follow him if they cannot see the Imam, especially since congregational prayer is not obligatory for women.
