Is it permissible to sell the hides of sacrificial animals and utilize the proceeds for charitable projects?

The hides of sacrificial animals are part of them, and it is not permissible to waste them or to give them as payment to the butcher. Rather, they should be distributed just like the meat, between eating, charity, and gifting. If distribution is difficult, or if selling them is more beneficial for the poor, then they should be sold, and their proceeds given directly to the poor or used in charitable projects that benefit them.
