What is the ruling on practicing sodomy over the phone and uttering sexual speech while maintaining the performance of prayer?
If a worshiper commits sins, it means that he has not performed the prayer as required; for prayer, when performed with its conditions, pillars, and devotion, restrains its performer from indecency and evil. As for prayer without devotion, its performer does not benefit from it. The questioner is advised to stay away from forbidden thoughts and occupy his time with what benefits him, such as seeking beneficial knowledge, earning lawful sustenance, engaging in sports, accompanying good people, and regularly attending congregational prayers and remembrances. He should also marry if he is able, especially if he fears falling into forbidden acts.
