How is the estate of a man who died leaving a wife, and deceased brothers and sisters who have male and female children, to be distributed?

If a man dies and his heirs are his wife and his siblings' children (males and females), the wife receives one-fourth due to the deceased having no children. The remainder goes to the male children of his brothers by ta'sib (agnatic inheritance), divided equally among them. The children of the sister and the daughters of the brothers have no share because they are not among the 'asabah (agnatic heirs). This is based on the Almighty's saying: (And for them [the wives] is one fourth of what you leave if you have no child) and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: (Give the prescribed shares to those entitled to them, and whatever remains is for the closest male relative).
