There is no blame upon a woman for scolding her child and rebuking him when he errs, provided it is done wisely, so that the child recognizes his mistake. If a non- hears her, there is no sin upon her, because the prohibition of softening the speech is only for him. However, she should not raise her voice if her husband is bothered by it, and she should use another method. We emphasize that raising children is a shared responsibility between both spouses.
