The answer

The aforementioned Hadith was not narrated with the phrasing in question. However, it was narrated with a different phrasing by Ibn Majah, Ahmad, and others, and was deemed hasan by Al-Albani and Al-Arna'oot, from Saeed bin Hurayth, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "Whoever sells a house or property and does not put its price into something similar, it is likely that it will not be blessed." Ibn Qudamah explains that this applies to someone who sells it out of need for it and does not replace it with something else, thus exposing himself to the need for housing or losing the price, and it will not be blessed. Ibn Uyaynah is of the opinion that this Hadith punishes whoever sells what Allah has blessed (the land) by making what he replaces it with unblessed for him.
