If a lawsuit is filed against an endowment (waqf), should the lawyer's fees be paid from the funds of the endowment's administrator or from the endowment's funds?

An endowment (Waqf) must have a supervisor (Nazir) who manages its affairs, preserves it, maintains it, and implements the conditions set by the endower. The supervisor may only act in ways that benefit the endowment. Therefore, if the endowment requires a lawyer to fend off the harm of a lawsuit filed against it, there is no objection to appointing one, and his fees shall be paid from the endowment's funds, unless the endower specified another source for the expenditure.
