Does refusing to return to Morocco to work with my father displease Allah?

You are not obligated to return to your country as long as your father has someone to care for him and is not harmed by your travel, because a child's travel for trade and earning is permissible without the parents' permission, unless it causes them neglect. You must honor your father and treat him kindly, and if you can obey him by returning without harm, that is more preferable. You must also advise him to seek lawful earnings. Furthermore, residing in disbelieving countries is not permissible unless the resident can openly practice the rituals of their religion.
