Is it better to travel to the Sacred Mosque in Mecca to perform prayers, despite one parent's objection, or not?

If a person has not performed Hajj or Umrah before, it is obligatory for him to do so as long as he is capable. He is not permitted to obey his parents in abandoning the obligatory Hajj or Umrah. However, if he has already performed Hajj and Umrah, then his travel to pray in the Haram (Holy Sanctuary) is supererogatory (mustahabb), and he must obey his parents if they forbid him. He should not travel except with their permission. He should be gentle in seeking their permission; if they permit, then it is good. But if they forbid him and the Hajj or Umrah is obligatory for him, then he should travel without permission, and there is no sin upon him. However, if they are supererogatory, he is not permitted to travel without their permission.
