There is no harm in writing the Qur’an or anything in it—such as the Basmala (In the Name of Allah) and admonitions—for one who is in a state of minor ritual impurity (muhdith) or major ritual impurity (junub), as long as there is a need for it and it is little, or without touching or carrying theaf (the physical copy of the Qur’an).
