Is it permissible to open a PlayStation gaming shop—for football games only—provided there are no images of women or music, payment is made in advance, and a sign prohibiting gambling is displayed? And does this fulfill the obligation?

The fatwa issued by our institution permits playing electronic games if they are free from শরীʿআ (Islamic law) prohibitions, such as not distracting from the remembrance of Allah and prayer, not containing gambling, music, or images of naked women, and not leading to animosity and hatred. If the games to be displayed in the shop are free from these prohibitions, then they are permissible, and earning from them is lawful.
