What are the righteous intentions a Muslim girl—who works as an engineer and adheres to the Islamic dress code—can have when going to her work to earn reward, and what intentions can earn her recompense, such as being a good role model, or becoming self-sufficient, or spending on her parents and sisters, or giving charity?

If your work is permissible and you observe the limits and etiquette of Sharia therein, then benefiting your needy mother and sister, being emulated by them in modest dress, and giving charity are considered good intentions and righteous aims for which you will be rewarded. It has been reported in the Hadith that a woman who goes out to find her date palms [was told]: "Perhaps you will give charity or do a good deed." And striving for one's parents, children, or oneself is considered to be in the way of Allah. Furthermore, the righteous intentions of a merchant, such as refraining from begging, seeking help through earning for the religion, providing sufficiently for one's dependents, advising Muslims, following justice and benevolence, enjoining good, and forbidding evil, make his work a path to the Hereafter.
