Is a Muslim rewarded for charitable acts such as removing harm and performing household chores, and is the intention required during or after the act?

Every good deed is a charity (sadaqah). So, if a woman intends to draw closer to Allah Almighty through her acts of goodness, such as serving her family and cooking for them, she will be rewarded with the merit of charity. The fundamental principle is that the intention should be made at the beginning of the action, but if she forgets at the beginning, she should make the intention during the act.
