Does mental distraction during prayer with sexual fantasies or masturbation affect the validity of the prayer or its legal ruling?

The presence of evil thoughts during prayer diminishes its reward, and dwelling on them may lead to a firm intention to commit sin, making one accountable. Therefore, they must be cut off immediately. A Muslim should have high aspirations and devote themselves to what benefits them in this world and the hereafter. Seeking knowledge, inviting others to Allah, and keeping good company assist in this. It is also advisable to hasten marriage for those who are able; otherwise, they should fast, for it is a shield for them. It must be noted that masturbation is forbidden in Islamic law.
