What is the ruling on dedicating 15 prayers daily to thank Allah? Is it permissible to perform supererogatory prayers after Asr, Maghrib, and Isha? What is better among seeking forgiveness (Istighfar), glorifying Allah (Tasbeeh), praising Allah (Alhamdulillah), reading the Quran, and listening to it? Is specifying certain remembrances (adhkar) after prayer considered an innovation (bid'ah)?

Prayer after Asr is prohibited, and similarly after Fajr until the sun rises. As for other prayers, there is no prohibition on praying after them. We advise increasing prayers and observing the regular Sunnah (definition) prayers. Balancing Tasbih, Istighfar, and other good deeds is better, and what is most beneficial for the heart is best. Observing the prescribed dhikr at its designated time is more important. Specifying a certain number for dhikr at a specific time is acceptable as long as the person does not believe it to be a Sunnah. We advise striving in seeking sacred knowledge to know what is lawful and unlawful, and to distinguish the ranks of acts of worship.
