Did Sammāk ibn Harb hear from Mus‘ab ibn Sa‘d ibn Abī Waqqāṣ, and did Shu‘bah deny Sammāk’s hearing from him?

What al-Ala'i mentioned regarding Shubah's denial of Simak ibn Harb's narration from Musab ibn Sad is Shubah's opinion. However, the imams of Hadith affirmed Simak's hearing from Musab and mentioned that he was one of his teachers. Simak himself explicitly stated that he heard from Musab in Sahih Muslim. Examples include the hadith about Sad's illness and his bequest of a third, the hadith about Umm Sad and Allah's command to honor parents, the hadith about al-Anfal (the Spoils of War), and the hadith about the prohibition of alcohol. All of this proves the authenticity of Simak's hearing from Musab ibn Sad.
