The work of a lawyer is fraught with dangers, such as litigating for falsehood and arguing on behalf of wrongdoers, and unlawfully taking people's money. If the lawyer bribes employees to expedite transactions in a manner contrary to regulations, or imposes fines and financial penalties on employees who do not lawfully deserve them, then these actions are forbidden and unjust, and committing them or assisting in them is a sin. Therefore, whoever commits these acts must repent, abandon this work, and seek lawful sustenance.
