Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) have hair on his leg, and did he leave it?

The books of Sira (Prophet's biography) and Hadith (Prophet's traditions) do not mention hair on the Prophet's feet, peace and blessings be upon him, despite their precise description of his feet as being arched (akhmas al-qadamayn) and smooth (masih al-qadamayn). The books did describe the hair on his head, beard, and eyebrows, and mentioned that he had hair on his arms, shoulders, and upper chest, and that a thin line of hair extended like a thread from his sternum (labba) to his navel.
