Is the narrated hadith, "When the son of Adam recites the verse of prostration and prostrates, Satan withdraws weeping, saying: 'Woe unto me! The son of Adam was commanded to prostrate and he prostrated, so for him is Paradise; and I was commanded to prostrate and I refused, so for me is the Fire,'" authentic?

It is confirmed in the Sunnah that Satan wept. In the Hadith narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the son of Adam recites the verse of prostration and then prostrates, Satan withdraws, weeping and saying: 'Woe to him! The son of Adam was commanded to prostrate, and he prostrated, so for him is Paradise. I was commanded to prostrate, but I refused, so for me is the Fire.'" (Narrated by Muslim). This weeping of Iblis is due to envy and rage, not out of remorse for his disobedience.
