Is the continuity of ease in worldly affairs and the safety of a servant from problems, coupled with his feeling that this is by the grace and mercy of Allah, a sign that Allah is displeased with him, or that he is being lured [gradually] towards torment in the Hereafter? And what are the proofs from the Qur'an and Sunnah that can bring comfort to the heart in this regard?

A person is never free from trials in this world. Allah created everything in it for trial and testing. This trial involves patience and gratitude, in times of good and bad, ease and hardship. Being tried with hardship is a sign of Allah's love for His servant, but it is not a necessity. The criterion for distinguishing among people is piety and adherence to obedience to Allah in all circumstances. A person's health and well-being, coupled with righteous deeds, are a focal point of Allah's love. A person's lack of illness is not proof of Allah's lack of love for him. You should hold yourself accountable and thank Allah for His blessings.
