Is expiation incumbent upon one who had intercourse with his wife during the daytime in Ramadan while he was sick, and then made up the days he missed? And does the expiation differ if the intercourse was anally?
A sick person for whom fasting is difficult is permitted to break their fast in , according to the Almighty's saying: "So whoever among you is sick or on a journey [during them] - then [he must fast] an equal number of other days." There is no blame upon him for engaging in any other things that break the fast, including sexual intercourse with his wife, and he is only required to make up the missed days.
As for one who had anal intercourse with his wife while not fasting due to a legitimate Shar'i reason, such as illness, he is not obliged to offer expiation for breaking the fast; however, he has sinned by committing this grave major sin, and he must offer sincere repentance and increase in righteous deeds. The wife must also repent if she was not coerced.
