What is the true number of houris for a Muslim in Paradise?

The correct and authentically established Sunnah of the Prophet states that a believer in Paradise will have two wives. There are other hadiths that mention a larger number of wives, but these are either not explicit or not authentic.

Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned that a believer will have more than two wives in Paradise, citing the hadith of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari about the pearl tent in Paradise, in which the believer will have companions (ahlūn).
