Do deeds and veils affect the cutting off of joy from a particular household such that whenever the family wants to marry off one of its members, a close relative dies, or is this the family's destiny?

Belief in divine decree (Al-Qadar (definition)) is one of the pillars of faith. One must believe that what has befallen a servant could not have missed him, and what has missed him could not have befallen him. Ubada ibn al-Samit narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Indeed, the first thing Allah created was the Pen. He said to it: 'Write.' It said: 'What should I write?' He said: 'Write the decrees of everything until the Hour is established.'" And that "whoever dies on other than this is not of me." The texts of the Qur'an and Sunnah (definition) indicate this; everything that afflicts a human being is part of the inescapable divine decree, whether its cause is magic or not, along with the necessity of taking means of protection through legitimate ruqya and remembrances (adhkar). The effect of magic may reach the point of separating spouses, causing illness, and even death.
