1 min readAlso available in العربية

Allah revealed the Quran, and it contains 114 surahs. There is a hierarchy of merit among these surahs. Authentic hadiths have been narrated regarding the virtues of Al-Fatiha, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Kafirun, Al-Mu'awwidhatayn (Al-Falaq and An-Nas), Al-Zalzalah, Al-A'la, Al-Baqarah, and Al Imran. The rest of the Quran also possesses virtue. A surah was named "surah" because it is distinguished by its own specific theme, rulings, admonitions, and manners, and it has its own importance and reward for the reciter.
