A hadith with this exact wording has not been found. Rather, it was reported that Malik bin Dinar said: "If you see hardness in your heart, weakness in your body, and deprivation in your sustenance, then know that you have spoken about what does not concern you." This statement warns against speaking about what does not concern one, and sees it as a cause for hardness of heart, weakness of body, and deprivation of sustenance.
