What is the Sharīʿah ruling concerning a man married to two women, one of whom disobeys him, opposes him, and disregards his marriage to the other, and he wishes to have children with his second wife who lives with him abroad, while fearing injustice among the children?

A man marrying a second wife is permissible, and he is not required to seek his first wife's permission, consult her, or compensate her. As for the division of nights between the two wives, it is not waived by their residing in different countries, unless the first wife requests to return to her original country and refuses to live with her husband, in which case her right to the division of nights is forfeited due to her disobedience (nushooz). If he wishes to divide his time between them in their respective countries and cannot do so night by night, he may arrange the duration according to what is feasible, such as a month here and a month there. As for procreation, fearing injustice among the children is not a valid reason to deprive the second wife of it, and he is not permitted to practice coitus interruptus with her or prevent her from conceiving except with her consent, because she has a right to have children.
