What is the ruling on resorting to man-made laws to reclaim usurped land if these laws will rule justly and there is no alternative to them?

It is not permissible for a Muslim to resort to secular courts and man-made laws to retrieve money owed to him by a procrastinating debtor, unless he is compelled to do so and finds no other means to recover his right. In such a case, he must do so grudgingly and take only his due without any increase.
