What is the relationship between chastity and patience?

Chastity is a state of the soul that prevents it from being overcome by desires. It is of two types: chastity concerning forbidden things (controlling one's private parts and refraining from slandering), and chastity concerning sins (refraining from openly committing injustice and restraining oneself from secretly betraying). Patience is the act of restraining oneself to what reason and religious law dictate, or from what they dictate one should refrain from. It has three categories: patience in obeying commands, patience in refraining from prohibitions, and patience in enduring decrees. Chastity and patience agree in their indication of restraint and self-discipline. Chastity specifically involves self-control regarding forbidden things, while patience surpasses it by also encompassing self-control from resenting decrees and enduring responsibilities. Patience is more general than chastity and includes some of its meanings.
