Is it permissible to stipulate matters such as commitment to congregational prayer, not marrying another woman, and not watching pornographic films or masturbating as subsequent conditions in the marriage contract, so that the wife has the right to annul the marriage if the husband does not fulfill them?

The conditions stipulated for the husband after the marriage contract are not binding, based on Al-Mardawi's statement: "The conditions considered in marriage in this chapter are mentioned in the very essence of the contract," and also his statement: "If the condition occurs after the contract and its binding nature, then what is narrated from Imam Ahmad - may Allah have mercy on him - is that it is not binding on him." Similarly, Ibn Qudamah stated in Al-Mughni: "If the two arbitrators stipulate a condition, or the spouses stipulate it, it is not binding."

Therefore, no conditions can be added that follow the contract and become binding on the husband, such that the wife would have the right to annul the marriage if he does not fulfill them. It is advised to treat the husband with kindness, be a good wife to him, strive to reform him, and help him to repent and be steadfast. If the husband does not repent and does not treat her kindly, then a balance should be struck between remaining with him or separating from him through divorce or khul', choosing the lesser of two harms.
