Can the husband be compelled to adhere to the three conditions he agreed to before marriage, then reneged on after it?

Conditions that do not contradict the marriage contract and do not involve prohibitions are binding conditions. The wife has the right to annul the marriage if the husband violates them. Scholars have differed on the obligation to fulfill the condition. The well-known view among the Hanbalis is that it is recommended but not obligatory, while Ibn Taymiyyah held that it is obligatory to fulfill it and that the husband can be legally compelled to do so. If the husband broke his promise because the conditions contradict Islamic law (such as the wife remaining in studies or a job that violates Islamic law), then the wife has no right to object, and she must obey him. However, if he broke his promise without a valid reason, the wife has the right to annul the marriage. Nevertheless, it is preferable to be patient and not separate as long as life is stable.
