Is it permissible to move children from their places on Friday to make room for adults, based on the the Prophet's saying: "Let those of you who are mature and discerning be closest to me"?

Some scholars hold the view that it is preferable for boys to stand behind men. However, the more correct opinion is that if they precede others to the first or second row, it is not permissible to delay them, because they have come forward to claim their right, and delaying them would discourage them from prayer. If people arrive together, then men should form rows first, then boys, then women. The Prophet's saying, "Let those who are mature and discerning stand close to me," is an encouragement to hasten to prayer, and not an instruction to delay those who have already come forward.
