Are good deeds such as reciting the Qur’an, performing supererogatory prayers, and giving charity accepted from a person whose parents are displeased with him?

He who angers his parents or mistreats them is in great peril and exposed to a severe threat; for the one disobedient to his parents (disobedient son) Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection, nor will he enter Paradise. The supplication of a parent against his child is answered, and whoever dies disobedient to his parents will not be with the Prophets, the truthful, and the martyrs. However, committing this sin does not nullify good deeds; for the nullification of deeds is a specific punishment, and only polytheism with Allah nullifies deeds. As for disobedience to parents or cutting off ties of kinship, they do not nullify deeds. If the parent is the one who wronged his son or became angry with him without any sin, then the matter is even further from nullifying deeds or being exposed to the threat.
