Does Zamzam water have value, and is there anything in the Sunnah that indicates its effectiveness in healing or the requirement of intention when drinking it?
Zamzam is a famous well located in the Grand Mosque (Al-Masjid Al-). It is the well from which Allah watered Ishmael (peace be upon him) and his mother Hagar. It is desirable to drink Zamzam water, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, it is blessed; it is food that satisfies and a cure for illness." The heart of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was also washed with it. Among the etiquettes of drinking it are: facing the Kaaba, saying "Bismillah" (in the name of Allah), breathing three times (during the drink), drinking one's fill, praising Allah after finishing, and supplicating with whatever the drinker desires of worldly and
Hereafter matters. It is also desirable to take some of it and carry it to one's country. It is permissible to purify oneself with Zamzam water, but it is disliked to use it for removing impurities, out of reverence for it. Its virtue remains, whether it is drunk in its place or transported elsewhere.
