What are the benefits of Zamzam water?

Zamzam water is a magnificent water and a blessed spring, created by Allah as a drink for Isma'il and his mother. The heart of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was also washed with it. Its فضله (virtue) is mentioned in the saying: "The best water on the face of the earth is Zamzam water; it is a food that satisfies and a cure for illness." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, drank from it, performed ablution with it, and poured it over his head. He used to carry it and pour it on the sick and give it to them to drink. The Companions described it as "satiating" and a "helper for the family." The authentic hadith (definition) states: "Zamzam water is for what it is drunk for." Scholars and righteous people have experienced this, drinking it with the intention of fulfilling needs and seeking matters, and Allah has facilitated them for them.
