Is it permissible to drink Zamzam water with the intention of achieving religious and worldly matters for oneself and one's progeny and for all believers, such as liberation from Hellfire, establishing prayer, attaining God's pleasure, protection from Satan, and being granted a sound heart, given the saying that there is certain good if it benefits, and no loss if it does not?

"The water of Zamzam is for what it is drunk for." This hadith is general and includes matters of this world and the hereafter. It can be drunk with the intention of benefiting the drinker or others. It was reported from Ibn Abbas that when he drank it, he would supplicate for knowledge, sustenance, and healing. It is recommended to supplicate when drinking it with any beneficial supplication that is easy, provided that it is done with a sincere intention and reliance upon Allah, and not as a mere experiment or with the belief that it is a proven sunnah.
