Should one afflicted by demonic possession patiently endure Allah's decree, or should he perform Ruqyah on himself? And must he inform the woman's guardian if he is about to marry?

He whom Allah has afflicted with touch (of Jinn) or any other calamity must be patient and seek reward from Allah. Patience does not contradict the permissible Ruqyah (Islamic incantation) which is free from Shirk (polytheism). The fiancée or her guardian must be informed about the touch (of Jinn) that has afflicted the suitor, because it is among the defects that affect the completeness of marital life, and not informing is considered deception.
